Mackie’s of Scotland, the fourth generation family business based on an arable farm in Aberdeenshire, first made ice cream with the surplus cream left as people began to drink more skimmed milk. That was in 1986 and Mackie’s luxury dairy ice cream is now well established as one of Scotland’s favourite brands; it’s ice cream made the way it used to be with fresh milk and cream from their own herd of Jersey and Holstein Friesian cows.
This summer Mackie’s have applied their chilling skills to the fruit smoothie. The new Mackie 100% fruit smoothies are made in two flavours: Mango & Orange and Blueberry & Raspberry, with 100% fruit juice, and nothing else, (not even milk from the cows). They come in easy to eat, push-up tubes - three to a pack at RRP of £1.99.
