Win £250 TO SPEND IN ORTAK
Leading jewellery designer and manufacturer, Ortak, has teamed up with UPTOWN magazine to offer four lucky readers the chance to spoil themselves, or a loved one, this summer with a prize of £250 each to spend in any Ortak store.
Ortak's twelve stores, located in Orkney, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Newcastle and Sheffield and the online store at www.ortak.co.uk, stock a stunning selection of jewellery, which is frequently refreshed with new designs from the in-house design team at Ortak.
Ortak, which has grown steadily from modest beginnings in Orkney in 1967 to become one of the UK's leading designers and manufacturers of gold and silver jewellery, has launched eight new glittering jewellery collections epitomising the latest styles for the summer ahead.
In a scintillating display of colour, clean lines and elegant styles, the stunning new collections, incorporating silver, gold and hot glass enamel, are inspired by both contemporary fashion with a twist on traditional themes.
Modelled by Miss UK, Nieve Jennings, Ortak has stayed true to its Celtic roots throughout most of the collections' designs but with names such as Mimosa, Arella and Maya, an allusion of the exotic shines through in all eight ranges.
Amongst the products available to the lucky competition winners will be Ortak's new spring ranges, including the elegant Arella range, which takes its inspiration from tropical plants evoking the purity of the Garden of Eden or the Maya range, which offers a rich exotic look, using geographic elements to invoke history and culture.
Ortak is a family firm, which is today run by the sons of Ortak founder Malcolm Gray. The traditional skills of the silversmith, handed down over decades, are still in used in Ortak's state-of-the-art workshop in Kirkwall, Orkney, where the manufacturing base of the company is located and from where every piece of jewellery is dispatched worldwide.
